Wear and aging of hydraulic hoses are one of the main causes of their failure. Therefore, taking effective preventive measures is essential to extend the service life of the hose and ensure the safety of the system. Here are some suggestions to prevent wear and aging of hydraulic hoses.

Correct selection of hose materials

Choose the appropriate hose material according to the application environment, such as oil resistance, wear resistance, UV resistance and other characteristics. Make sure that the selected hose is compatible with the fluid used in the system. Avoid corrosion or damage caused by chemical reactions.

Reasonable wiring

Hoses should be properly arranged to avoid friction with other objects or contact with sharp edges. Use appropriate clamps or brackets to fix the hose to reduce wear caused by vibration. In addition, maintain sufficient slack to accommodate temperature changes and displacement of moving parts.

Observe the minimum bending radius

Follow the minimum bending radius recommended by the manufacturer during installation. Too small a bend will increase internal stress and accelerate hose aging. Do not have sharp bends near the joints, and usually require a straight section of at least 6 times the outer diameter of the hose.

Avoid excessive stretching

Avoid applying unnecessary tension to the hose during installation, which can cause the hose to deform or even break. Leave enough length for the hose to move freely without restriction during work.

Protect the hose surface

If the hose must pass through places where abrasion may occur, you can use a sheath or guard to protect the hose. In extreme environments, consider using a metal mesh or plastic spiral protective cover to increase the durability of the hose.

Control the operating temperature

Keep the ambient temperature of the hose within the recommended range. Because too high or too low temperatures will accelerate the aging process of the hose. If high temperatures cannot be avoided, you can use insulation materials to protect the hose
