After the PVC transparent steel wire hose is produced, it needs to be tested for vacuum performance. There are two test methods

The first method

First of all, in terms of the length of the test steel wire hose, the minimum length should be five times the nominal inner diameter of the hose, or 1 meter long. For these two data, you can choose the longer value. For some cases where the length is less than 1 meter, you can take the entire hose or the hose assembly. While for some hoses with an inner diameter of 80 mm or less, we generally need to lay the hose as flat as possible on a plane.

Then use a metal plug to plug one end so that there will be no air leakage. At this time, insert a solid ball into the hose, and then the open end of the hose needs to be connected to a vacuum pump with a vacuum gauge. Within 60 seconds, we need to reduce the internal pressure of the hose to the specified test pressure value and maintain this value for at least 10 minutes. While maintaining this test pressure, you can also check whether there is a dent on the outside of the hose. Finally, tilt the test hose so that the internal solid ball can pass through the entire hose. At the same time, remember to check whether the hose has other faults.

The Second method

For some transparent steel wire hoses with a diameter of more than 80 mm, another measurement method is required. When testing its sealing, first install a sealing plug or a sealing plate on one end of the hose. The other end can be connected to a vacuum pump with a vacuum gauge. Reduce the internal pressure of the hose to the experimental pressure value within 60 seconds. Then maintain it for at least 10 minutes. During this process, we can use a light source to check the internal condition. And check whether the outside of the hose is dented or shrunken.
